Jersey Fouls of the Week: Rangers fans keep foul streak alive

During my youth, New York City was often referred to as a “melting pot” of cultures. What this really meant was that it was actually a liquid stew of jersey fouls.

From Hipster Hank to Tim Tebow, the Rangers fans have someone come through with the most hideous concoctions we’ve seen recently. The top foul of this week isn’t exactly a Rangers jersey, but is a Rangers mega-foul on so many levels.

What has led the Rangers to foster this foul-like environment? Who knows. But it makes for great cell phone camera to Twitter moments for us to pick up. This is now three straight weeks the Rangers have held the top spot.

If you want to submit, make sure to email us at puckdaddyblog@yahoo.com or tweet to the hashtag #jerseyfoul. We’ll pick them up, and try to make sure to give credit where credit is due. We’ll throw them up on our Tumblr page!

3. Hey Buffalo, the goal still counts!

If you’re a Dallas Stars fan in Buffalo, why would you put “no goal” presumably from Game 6 of the 1999 Stanley Cup Final, on the back of a Dallas jersey? And then wear it in Buffalo at a Bisons game of all places? (S/t Paul Blundy on email)

2. A house divided

Not sure how, or why anyone would spend money to make a Ducks/Blackhawks Frankenjersey. Beyond the 2015 Western Conference Final, this is not a rivalry. (S/t @gtsromance)

1. Rangers formalwear

It’s not really a jersey, but it’s just a major fashion foul, complete with a captain’s ‘C’ over the left pocket. I feel like this guy just showed up from after dinner at the yacht club in Greenwich, Connecticut. (S/t @troybongi)
